The internet's a big place full of scary things right? Fortunately there's a lot of light-hearted fun to be had too. I was having a little fun over at Go!Animate and 'gave birth' to this mummified chap telling his cute green friend about Acquisitions.

You won't need a messy desk or papers blowing all around the place to want to get your hands on these gorgeous, vintage look paper weights.
We've got a set of two 'European Landmark' Paper Weights courtesy of our close personal buddies at Rembrant Fine Arts to give away to one very lucky person. Each glass dome paper weight measures approx. 8cm across and is finished with beautiful, vintage imagery of a European landmark.
To be in to win use the 'add new comment' function at the bottom of the page to tell us in 25 words or less 'where you'd most like to visit'. Personally I'd like to go down the rabbit hole and find Alice but that's just me.
Don't sweat it if you don't think you're funny or imaginative enough because the little essay is just the entry requirement (it is compulsory though) and the winner will be chosen by a random draw.
Competition closes on Monday the 13th of February 2012 at 12 noon (just in time for Valentine's Day).
Winner notified via the email address they provided.
The winner recieves:
2 x 'European Landmark' Paper Weights
The Fine Print: This competition is open to New Zealand residents only. One entry per person please. Employees of Acquisitions and their immediate families are not eligible to enter. We reserve the right to reprint selected entries on our Facebook page or Email Newsletter. Following the draw we will announce the winner here and on our Facebook page.
So, where would you most like to visit?

*Happy Friday the Thirteenth* - 13th January 2012

I'm not superstitious at all but I was still interested to read what Wikipedia had to say about it:
*Friday the 13th occurs when the thirteenth day of a month falls on a Friday (really?!), which superstition holds to be a day of bad luck.
*In the Gregorian calendar, this day occurs at least once, but at most three times a year.
*Any month's 13th day will fall on a Friday if the month starts on a Sunday.
*The fear of Friday the 13th is called friggatriskaidekaphobia or paraskevidekatriaphobia.
*In Spanish-speaking countries, instead of Friday, Tuesday the 13th (Martes Trece) is considered a day of bad luck.
*Four of the twelve films in the 'Friday the 13th' series, including the most recent, were released on a Friday the 13th.
Fortunately you don't have to have luck on your side today, or any day at Acquisitions. We've always got the best range of gifts and home wares!
Thanks Wikipedia!
